Anaerobic Digestion (AD)

Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is the breakdown of organic material by micro-organisms in the absence of oxygen.  AD produces biogas, a methane-rich gas that can be used as a fuel and with its high nutrient value can be used as  a fertiliser. Increasingly AD is being used to make the most of our waste by turning it into renewable energy.

Seymour & Castle have been working alongside leading manufacturers of Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Plants in the UK for the last 5 years. Undertaking the installation of LV power to site (including the supply of HV transformers), and distribution of the LV power and control systems required to keep the plants running smoothly.  We have also undertaken the installation of Mechanical Ventilation required on some of the larger projects.  Having recently completed works on a plant at Haunton near Tamworth, we are currently working on our 15th Anaerobic Digestion Plant at Goole.

Now specialists in this environment, we can assist with design, and offer maintenance and periodic inspections of existing plants. Currently working with our clients Xergi, Tamar Energy, Qila Energy and Material Change. We offer a swift response to any maintenance issues that may arise.
